MARIELLA BURANI DESIGNER HISTORY
Mariella Burani began her career in fashion design upon her marriage to the Burani Garment Group Company's General Manager, Walter Burani. Mariella Burani certainly had a flare for design, especially in children's wear. In fact she was the "pet" of Italian children's garments thanks to her unique designs of freedom, innocence and eternal youth. In 1975 Mariella Burani was put in charge of all fashion design for the Burani Company and began exploring women's and men's wear as well. She helped the Mariella Burani Fashion Group become a major player in the fashion industry with well-known original and licensed designer collections of apparel, footwear, leather accessories and jewelry. Mariella Burani has been Awarded the Italian Republic Knight Prize several times as well as the Best Costume Design prize of Hollywood.
