LANCOME
Lancôme has been a leader in the fragrance, skin care, and makeup industry since 1935. Founder Armand Petitjean was a French cosmetician and perfumer. He originally became inspired to create fragrances by the wild roses he saw surrounding Le Chateau de Lancosme, an old castle in the rural French countryside. A rose eventually became the iconic Lancôme symbol reflecting a style that's classic, inspiring and always elegant.
Lancôme Perfume History
Petitjean introduced five Lancôme perfumes at the 1935 World's Fair in Brussels - Tendre Nuit, Tropiques, Bocages, Kypre and Conquete. He expanded his market to the United States in the 1950s and over the years the fragrance line has grown to over 50 products.
