The company was founded in 1837 by Thierry Hermès as a saddelry company, fashion house and fragrance manufacturer. Soon boots, jewelry, home decor items, and silk scarves were added to its line of luxury goods. Hermès perfumes and colognes also account for a significant portion of the company’s sales.

They operate over 200 stores worldwide, nearly half of which are company-owned. Hermès products are also available in nearly 40 other retail outlets. 75% of the company is controlled by descendants of founder Thierry Hermès. In 2006, Patrick Thomas was named CEO, becoming the first person outside of the family to lead the company.

Beauty Tips

Sometimes when applying eyeliner, the tip breaks. Sharpen it not to make it too pointy and place it in the freezer for fifteen minutes or more. Also, when your lipstick breaks, use a lip brush to scoop out favorite color.
