CAROLINA HERRERA DESIGNER HISTORY
Carolina Herrera oversees an international design firm that encompasses her signature fashion collection, a bridal collection, fragrances, color cosmetics and accessories.
She has been quoted as saying,"With my clothing and fragrances, I believe that it is best to be realistic, but to always mix a bit of fantasy with reality. It's the same with life, really."
Herrera was born in Caracas, Venezuela - a descendant from a long line of Venezuelan landowners and statesman. The designer is animated in her affection for her parents, Guillemmo and Maria Cristina Pacanins.

Carolina Herrera in 1988 expanded her business with the launch of her first fragrance, baring her name: Carolina Herrera. This perfume is a heady and romantic blend of the tuberose and jasmine essences she had always loved and worn. A men's fragrance, Carolina Herrera for Men, was introduced in 1991. In Herrera debuted her third scent in 1994 – the floral Flore and its lighter counterpart, Aqua Flore debuted in 1996.
